MIKE MANUEL 

Director, Hockey & Prospect Services Canada East

Mike has a wealth of hockey experience as both a player and coach, which has provided him the opportunity to establish deep-rooted connections in both Ontario and the Maritimes. Born in Newfoundland, Mike moved to Ontario at a very early age where he played all his minor hockey. Mike went on to play Junior Hockey in the Ontario Metro Junior Hockey League and the SJHL from 1986 – 1990 and played Senior Hockey in both Nova Scotia and Ontario up until 2005.

Upon completing his playing career in 2005, Mike has continued to stay in the game as both a coach and instructor. He has spent 11 years as an assistant coach at the Junior level in Ontario, has been an accomplished on-ice skills instructor for players of all ages since 2005, and continues to give back by still coaching minor hockey in Ontario today. Mike and his family have also opened up their home as a billet home for countless players playing in the OJHL and OHL over the years. Mike is a passionate networker and will do whatever it takes to support and promote the causes and people he cares about. In his role as Director, Hockey and Prospect Services, and as a member of Link’s Management Team, Mike is responsible for the day to day hockey operations for Link Management within Eastern Canada.

His primary focus is to provide regional oversight, strategic leadership, team development and support, plan execution, prospect identification and service delivery. As an outgoing, competitive and goal driven individual, Mike has excelled professional in both management roles and top-level sales positions. He is now combining his professional experience in sales and management with his personal passions in hockey and sport to lead the Link Advisory team to establish new standards of advisory services and player development in Eastern Canada. Mike resides in Halton Hills ON, Canada with his wife Lisa and their two children.
